Our guild has a rich history of events and activities to spark creativity and build community within our membership and our national organization. Typical events include swaps, games, and challenges within our guild, and with a sister guild in Northwest Arkansas. We also participate in activities that support our guild’s community service focus, and participate in community quilts to support our national guild’s mission.
In recent years we’ve had Bunny Basket swaps in the spring and Boo Basket exchanges in the fall. We have also had mini quilt swaps with the guild in Arkansas, and internal ornament exchanges in our December meeting.
In 2025 we have also had an 8-month long block-of-the-month program titled “Choose Your Own Adventure”, and a fun bingo block activity for our July Potluck meeting/mid-year celebration.
We also have bee groups for members who are interested in working together to create quilt tops. The monthly prompts are based on the specific design chosen by each month’s designated “queen bee” member. This gives individual members a chance to experiment with the design aspects of quilting and also builds internal relationships within the guild. As a bonus, it often contributes to the community service
goals we have set for ourselves.
